11/17/10 Worst Storm Ever!
There are no seats left for this Thanksgiving Dinner Theater. Hopefully we'll have a podcast for you before too long! We'll be taking a little break for the holidays, then I'll start cracking on writing new material and we will look forward to serving up more drama for you in 2011! We've got a large, committed team and things are looking good. Praise God!!

11/1/10 Gilligan's Island Play: Worst Storm Ever!
The Drama Guild will be performing an original play based on the classic Gilligan's Island TV series. Seating is limited.

5/1/10 Window Shopping Skit coming in June!
We're just starting rehearsals for this latest skit. It will likely be ready to roll sometime in June. We've been very busy, but we haven't been posting here a lot lately. Life gets in the way sometimes, but our devotion has not slowed down - our time's just gotten a bit crunched. Good stuff on its way! Thanks for visiting!

4/08/10 Time To Kill - a powerful skit coming on 4/24/10. An angel arrives a few minutes early for his appointment to pick up a man who's about to die, and everything gets turned on its head. A powerful tale. If you miss this one, you'll have to wait to see it as a podcast, and if you don't, you'll wish you did. Good stuff!

12/15/09 Broken ... it's almost here!
Click HERE for an ad you can copy to your hard drive, print or email to share with friends and family! Invite your loved ones and coworkers to this touching, contemporary Christmas play. The cast has been working very hard, and the play's going to be great. Don't miss it!

11/25/09 Broken, a new Christmas Play!
Coming up December 20th at both the 9:45 am and 11:30 am services at Meadows Fellowship, we've got another original play by Bob Whitely, drawing on most of the cast from The God Squad. Broken is a sobering story about broken families and struggling relationships during the Christmas season. Don't miss this touching story of hardship and hope this holiday season!

9/15/09 Time Flies when you're having fun!
Actually, it seems to fly whether you're having fun or not! The God Squad is behind us now, and what a fun ride that was. I've spent some time the past couple weeks, editing the video and we'll put it out as our next podcast, hopefully sometime in early 2010.

8/16/09 The God Squad
See a fun, original skit about witnessing the Good News in a way never seen before! Join us on Sept 13th at both the 9:45 am and 11:30 am services at Meadows Fellowship!

8/9/09 Monthly Drama Fellowships
We have an open meeting every month on the 3rd Sunday for new and active members. It is a fun time of fellowship, brainstorming, games (and sometimes munchies!) You don't have to be an actor to go - it's a good time for all!

2/22/09 Scapegoat: Salvation by Proxy:
Our next fun skit is on with Judy Donnelson and Kelley Page. Don't miss it! Good stuff, I promise! Why not spend Easter with us and then come back the following week to check out Scapegoat? Meadows Fellowship 4 Square church at both services, 9am and 11am!

2/22/09 Got Drama?:
Next up is the Drama Fellowship. If you missed the last one, try to make this one! But don't worry, we have them every month on the 3rd Sunday from 3-5 pm (unless otherwise noted, and barring sickness and Rapture!)

2/22/09 Sincere-O-Meter:
Got a cool skit for you coming up on 3/29/09 with Brady Page and David Sauer based on the skit by Bob Snook. Cool Stuff. Hope to see you there! If you miss it, we'll eventually get it up on the podcast, Lord Willing!

12/28/08 So, What's Next?:
Well, after a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner theater - great job everyone! It was very challenging with complicated blocking and lots going on, but it went very well!!! Next up is our Drama Fellowship on the 3rd Sunday in January, not to mention that we're still trying to arrange time to film the Dinner Theater if at all possible. With all the holidays, it's been tough finding time to write more plays and skits, much less work on another podcast, but it won't be long before I get freed up to do exactly that! I actually started editing a podcast the other day, and we've got two that are almost complete!

This week, I'll begin laying out the ground work for Drama Guild events for 2009, and Lord willing, we'll have good participation! Interested in doing some drama in Las Vegas? Email me!

10/31/08 Thanksgiving and beyond:
We've been very busily putting together our Thanksgiving Dinner Theater with a cast of 8. Lots of work and as you can see, I haven't had much time to update this page. That said, there are some exciting things coming in the days ahead! Why not join us as we share a dinner and a comedy in November?

6/17/08 New Hardware and software:
The Drama Guild has completed a hardware upgrade (a new Intel Mac Tower) and bumped up our web design tools so now we're back in action and you should have regular news updates from here out!

3/25/08 New Skit:
This Sunday, join us for an original skit as Adam and Bob Whitely have a ball performing at both the 9 am and 11am service at Meadows Fellowhip Four Square Church in Las Vegas. We haven't been no stage in a few months, but we've been quite busy organizing upcoming projects, writing and preparing. Keep an eye out for a big project coming in April: Family Fun Night! The event will include a free dinner and dessert, 3 original Drama Guild movies, prizes, a game or two, special music and more! More details to follow soon.

11/1/07 Forum Update:
We have temporarily closed the forum due to excessive spam. We'll reopen as soon as we can find time to clean it all up so that it can be a safe place again. If you feel inclined, please pray that our forum and others like it will be able to be effective communication centers for God's glory, rather than a place for those that are bored or hate God to come and trash up. Pray also for those who are filling the internet with filth - they need our help!

Currently, we see approximately 2,000 spam accounts created (or more) for every 1 post that is made. In order to protect you from filth, we have made the forum harder to access, (when it's open, that is) which means that when you create an account, it takes you longer to get authorized and allowed in. We're quite good at spotting spammers, but it does take time to sift through them.

We're sorry for the inconvenience - it's a result of spammers ruining the internet for everyone else. We can't block them from making an account, only from posting on our forum - it's not perfect, but it's the best we can do.

Do you want a place to share your ideas, questions and concerns? If so, please post when we come back online - it will be an encouragement to us to keep moving forward!

10/15/07 A morning of Drama!:
No Boundaries was too fun! So, we are off and running for our next production, called: Warning Signs A Christmas Story, an original tale by Bob Whitely, which we'll be performing at Meadows Fellowship, December 23rd at both the 9 and 11 am services. For more info, email us!

9/27/07 No Boundaries:
Mark your calendars for October 7th! Our latest original skit, "No Boundaries", is a comedy you don't want to miss! Kelley Page, Judy Donnelson (welcome aboard!), and Bob Whitely give a glimpse of what happens when you just can't seem to say, "No!" A great tale that kicks off a special series at Meadows focusing on freedom through boundaries. Wait, how can you have freedom within boundaries? Stick around and you'll find out! Bob reprises the role of Danny Lahmoe (Twice Born and others), who learns about the need for boundaries the hard way. Check it out. Good stuff!

9/27/07 Positions Available:
We are still looking to fill key positions within the Drama Guild admin, as well as stage crews, sound and lighting techs, and yes actors. Got drama? Let's serve God together!

6/24/07 Secret Lives:
We have finally kick-started the Secret Lives section. (Hey, we have lives too!) This section of the website takes aim at the lives of the characters (not the actors), and what it is that they are up to when they are not in our skits and plays. Sometimes we'll give more of a timeline or overview like we did this time, and sometimes we'll go in depth, telling a story you won't read anywhere else!

We'll also be using this section from time to time to spotlight other continuity aspects of the Drama Guild Universe. This first installment focuses on two characters who will be appearing in an upcoming podcast: Judy Bender (her brother Bob appeared in Survivor: Wasteland) and David Mosley, who appeared first in The Martian Reporter. Next, we'll start fleshing out other areas of the site (an article, time permitting), then return to Secret lives to spy on the fictional lives of some of your favorite personalities. Enjoy!

6/23/07 Kidz Klub Episode 1 "What's the Big Deal?":
Mark your calendars or pda's - July 29th marks our first Kidz Klub skit! "What's the Big Deal?" Will be performed at both the 9am and 11am services at Meadows Fellowship. If your church would like to be blessed by this skit and others, contact us!

We're very excited about this new skit series that stars kids. Oh, you'll see an adult from time to time, but the focus is all on the kids. We figured it was about time to let our young actors leap into action - and we're not the only ones! They are very anxious to serve God and spread the good news! Why should adults get to have all the fun? Kids can touch lives and change hearts too, so why not let them? Our only regret is that we didn't think of this sooner!

We trust viewers of all ages will enjoy these skits. Just because they are performed by kids doesn't mean that kids are the only ones who will enjoy them! We'll tell you more about this new series over the next few months. Let us know what you think!

5/13/07 Are You Ready?:
This Sunday, May 20th from 3-5 pm, we'll be holding our monthly Drama Fellowship! We will be casting parts for our next project, practice some skits and acting exercises, fellowship and consume munchies! Why not join us?! Meadows Fellowship Sanctuary (but then you probably knew that!) Are you coming? Drop us an email so we can plan ahead. Thanks! Got a question or comment about the ministry? Post it in the Forum!

Seen a great movie or want to read some movie reviews? Check out the Entertainment section on the forum!

3/12/07 Better Than Science Fiction:
Coming up Easter Sunday, we'll be performing this skit based on a script by Bob Snook and set squarely in the Drama Guild universe with a tip of the hat to Bob Bender from Survivor: Wasteland and a fun time with Kelley Page (Stress Factory) and Bob Whitely. Join us at Meadows Fellowship. 2 performances: 9:00 am and 11:00 am!

3/8/07 Drama Fellowship:
March 25th we'll have our next Drama Fellowship, so whether you are looking to serve God on stage or back stage, we have positions available for you! We also have acting parts for people who just want to dabble in drama! And ... we even have administrative positions including Asst. Director and Asst Drama Coordinator, Props Master and others! Hope to see you there. Questions? Email us!

2/1/07 Drama Potluck Fellowship:
Mark your calendars ... coming up February 11th is our February Drama Fellowship! Due to various circumstances, we'll be holding another Orientation at that time as well. This is pretty rare - we hold very few Orientations during the year, and it's a good chance to get in on the ground floor, get up-to-date, and get rolling. Didn't get an invitation to February's big bash? Email us! This will NOT be held at Meadows Fellowship, so contact us if you need directions. We're getting ready to cast a skit and a play. Want in? See you on the 11th! Can't make it, contact us and we'll see what we can do! Keep an eye out here and in the forums for updates (from time to time we have to post changes to dates and times).

1/17/07 Drama Orientation & Fellowship:
As promised, this Sunday at 2pm, we'll be holding our first 2007 Drama Orientation. We only hold these a few times a year, so now is the perfect time to jump on board. We'll also be updating memberships for existing members at this time. Let's make it a great year! Oh, and don't forget at 2:50pm we'll be holding our regular Drama Fellowship. Don't miss it - we're going to have a blast!

1/15/07 Forum Update:
It has come to our attention that some of our members are not sure how to create an account on the forums - just drop Bob Whitely an email and I'll fill you in - it's real easy! And Posting is just a click away - ask our spammers. We've been nailed dozens of times lately (don't they have anything better to do, like act in a play or something? Due to spamming, if we see a forum member not posting, we'll wait a little while, and then assume it's a spammer. Also, we will remove posts that do not have at least a little to do with drama (since there are other, better forums out there for non drama topics) and we don't tolerate intentional mistreatment of the forums as some spammers have now found out. So, that said, join in and have fun discussing drama and brainstorming ways we can make a difference for Christ! Don't let the spammers do all the posting, and don't make me keep talking to myself forever, let's chat!

1/8/07 Membership Restructuring:
Our kettle has been shaken up somewhat over these last few months, resulting in a bit of restructuring of the ministry. During our January Drama Fellowship we will be introducing 2 new processes: A new membership application that must be filled out by all existing and new members, and a new status tracker that will affect the way casting and auditions are handled. We'll discuss the Why and How they work at the next fellowship.

Don't miss our next fellowship as we move forward into an exciting new year! Thanks again to all who participated in the Christmas play, and to those who've patiently been waiting for their chance to serve or have been cast for a future role, we think you'll be pleased to know it won't be long now!

1/7/07 January Drama Fellowship:
The Drama Guild has tentatively scheduled the January Drama Fellowship for 1/21 2-4pm. We'll confirm this within the next 72 hours. We would love for you to join us for a wonderful time of fellowship and brainstorming for upcoming projects. We will be finalizing the casting for our next play and discuss options for 2 or 3 skits, hold an orientation for new members and other cool stuff. We are planning a potluck for our February Drama Fellowship, so keep an eye out for more on that!
